Remembering 1963: Sixty Years later, part 2: Civil Rights

In 1963, Ivor Davis was a foreign correspondent with the London Daily Express and Art Schreiber was lead journalist for the Westinghouse network. Both covered the breaking news of the day...including the assassination of President Kennedy, the Civil Rights movement, Vietnam, and the rise of a band called The Beatles (with whom they would both tour in 1964!) Join host Bob Wilson and guest co-host Jude Southerland Kessler, author of The John Lennon Series, on "Don't Pass Me By" as they talk with Ivor and Art for a second time. In Part 2, they discuss the 1962 entry of James Meredith into Ole Miss, the 1963 March on Birmingham, Dr. Martin Luther King, and President Kennedy's plans for a sweeping Civil Rights Bill. The implications of these things on the November assassination will also be discussed by those who were there! Interesting, informative chat with two great journalists.
